You will need to fabricate 2 linkages that will cross over each other & to swap the boom & dipper levers. That will make it a standard excavator pattern, in instead of a hoe pattern. I'd never heard of that before.

So, it was a natural progression to Cat style, where the right hand still operates the boom and the left hand moves the dipper. Myself I'am used to Cat control pattern you ask me what joystick does what I have troubles remembering its subconcious I grab a hold of the sticks and my hands do the motions.
